مصر تتسلم 25 صاروخًا من طراز Aster-15 من أصل 50 صاروخ للدفاع الجوي

African Intelligence, which is close to European intelligence, reported that major European shipbuilding companies are competing with each other to win a contract to sell Egypt 20 patrol boats and 6 corvettes.

It said that the competing companies are the Dutch "Damen", "Fincantieri", the Italian "and" Navantia "of Spain, in addition to the French companies," OCEA "and" CMN ".

According to the source, Egypt has set a basic condition, which is the transfer of technology and knowledge locally, as happened in the Gowind Corvette deal with France.

The website also mentioned that President El-Sisi and the Commander of the Navy discussed with the German company Lürssen the construction of various ship models and the transfer of technical knowledge and training to the Egyptian Navy crews.

Is Egypt prepping for war? Quite a shopping spree in these recent years...

Egypt wants the highest ToT manufacturing rate, including the body, electronics and armament..

The deal is not merely the assembly and manufacture of ship units within the Egyptian naval arsenals ... rather it is a deal to produce an Egyptian-European partnership for the manufacture of military and civilian naval ships ... The winning company will have Egypt as its main arsenal in the southern Mediterranean..

The head of state personally manages the negotiation process ... The deal is beyond ordinary, either in size, or quality, or requirements..

Who would give that away?
Like it's not only one company designing and building a corvette, it's probably tens/hundreds of contractors designing and manufacturing the components. So would they all give their IP?

If Turkish companies could participate in this tender, it would be a very good development in terms of regional relations.

Forget it.. things are not going that good between Egypt and Turkey.. even the security deal was suspended 2 days ago.. maybe one day..after Erdogan government..

Al-Arabiya is a press organization that can report in two opposite directions within 1 hour. It is not reliable at all. Unfortunately.

For Egypt to buy anything from Turkey they must have a great relationship not a mediocre one, that will take 5+ years and won't be possible until Erdo is voted out.
I am hopeful. Of course not for military cooperation of this scale (these are my wishes only) but politically relations will gradually improve. If I can find some time, I will write the reasons in detail.

The highest ToT rates possible with JVs.. that does not mean 100% TOT but the highest possible.. It is a competition between big International naval companies.. so we can expect a good ToT percentage....We are not talking about subcontractors here..The IPs belong to the Major companies who are bidding..
