If we are lucky we can see AMCA with Indian engines AFTER 15 years

Yeah, right now it looks bleak but fighters in it's life span of 25-30 years needs 3-4 engine so, may be even in decade or half our fighters fly with our engine then it will cut our reliance on others to great extent.
I expect this new government to brainstorm and come up with way forward to develop engine with required thrust on our own. May be either Israel, Japan or some other nations too requires the same. We may collaborate with them. Japan is already into developing their own fighter.

Collaborations are good way to cut down on cost and time.

A carrier borne LCA without GE 414 engine is not acceptable to the Navy

The present efforts are aimed at mastering other necessary technologies
