Maghreb Union: Dream of a handful of activists or only vision of permanent peace in N. Africa?

Some Algerian and Moroccan activists launched Hashtag for calling to activate the Maghreb Union again(No high level meetings have taken place since 3 July 2008), which included the withdrawal of Libya, Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, Mauritania from the Arab League.

I do not want to comment on the demand to withdraw from the Arab League, but the re-emergence of the Maghrebi co-operation as a strong military and economic union can be a crucial step against France and its proxy countries.
