. . . . . . . .
Just like that?

Why was it so hard to do in last 72 years?

Or we only do stuff when we are forced to do?
At least these are made in Pakistan. If it was peepeepee or sher league, they would have bought some from other country with huge kick back and ventilators never to arrive

.
I hope they works fine , in India Indian made 92 ventilators failed and caused the death of patients

The Bold part brother the countries who manufacture such equipment needed them for themselves and weren't willing to sell to others this was what prompted this Project otherwise we would have sat on our asses and got it from them.

These Vents themselves are being made by National Radio and Telecommunication corporation these Guys usually make radars, NUST and Pakistan Engineering council are involved in designing but most of manufacturing will be done mostly by state owned defense corporations.

I am of the opinion that the entire State owned Defense Industries should be made into Corporations run by Professional CEOs and Board of Directors in a Public Private Partnership. Apart from Defense A lot of diversification can be done this way From Auto, Aviation Pharma and Medical Equipment industry. Pakistan's private sector as a whole has failed in this matter their Entire Focus is on Traditional Industries like Construction, Raw materials and Processed foods i dont have much hope from them Expecting them to change in this decade alone is stupid. With State Owned defense we have a Strong base on which we can build upon. We have to start somewhere at least with this we have proven that we have the capacity somewhere. Why not start from here.

Not for export atm..... we are building up our own stock. Think it'll take months before we have sufficient excess capacity to export.

1100 per week production capacity (can be increased if necessary) . I dont think we will need more then 5000., also the ventilator by NUST is also supposed to hit market in a week. So we will be able to export it after 1 month.

Its a proven and certified product, originally made in turkey. Its a JV.

Unless I look at the technical spec they look more like BI-PAP machines rather than ventilators, but the dual pipe they are bit different than bi-pap machines.

Since I am suffering from COVID-19 I know the importance of these machines, although I did have the presence of mind to purchase BI-PAP and oxygen concentrators a while ago, got the mask fixed for oxygen mixing.

Phillips BIP-AP and oxygen conentrator do cost around 180k, if these ventilators or BIPAP are cheaper than the price we have a huge export market, as they are not just for COVID19 but many other respiratory disease.

The reports, manufacturer and minister all clearly saying vantilator, so it is a vantilator. Btw i am not aware of the BIPAP and certainly not much educated about vantilators so cant say which is better for export. But if it help humanity then why not?
