During the LEAP 2025 tech conference in Riyadh Saudi Arabia MBS around $14.9 billion investment in artificial intelligence (AI). The Kingdom's standing as a significant hub for digital transformation and a worldwide AI hub is intended to be strengthened by this investment. In line with Saudi Vision 2030's objectives, the investments are intended to promote innovation in the nation, boost the expansion of up-and-coming tech firms, and build digital skills.
This campaign included the announcement of several important projects. Groq and Aramco Digital are working together on a $1.5 billion effort to increase cloud computing and AI-powered inference infrastructure. Furthermore, ALAT and Lenovo are spending $2 billion to create a center for advanced manufacturing and technology that focuses on robotics and artificial intelligence.
Additionally, Google announced intentions to establish a global AI hub in Saudi Arabia and invest in AI infrastructure. Several international tech firms, including Qualcomm, Alibaba Cloud, Databricks, Salesforce, Tencent Cloud, and Samba Nova, have committed to investing in Saudi Arabia to promote AI development and strengthen the country's digital economy. Tencent Cloud is spending $150 million to create its first AI-powered cloud region in the Middle East, while Salesforce is spending $500 million to develop Hyper Force and improve cloud capabilities.
