Well, it's vain to us, but to many Indians, this is seriously how they want the future to be. Since the Industrial Revolution embarked in 1870's, Asia has been trying to get on the bandwagon of industrialization and modernization. According to World Bank data, by year 2013, 10 Asian countries are among the Top-30 of the world in terms of manufacturing value added (current US$), compared to 11 EU countries in the same list. Moreover, 3 Asian countries occupy the top 5 spots.

Other than the fast industrializing BRICS, ASEAN is also on the pace. Take Indonesia (population 256 million, biggest manufacturing hub in ASEAN) as an example, it is joining the BRICS league as a newly industrialized country.

Moreover, Indonesia grows at a breathtaking speed, during 2005~2013, Indonesia's growth (manufacturing value added) is 162.6%, almost doubles that of Brazil or India. If the trend persists, Indonesia will overtake India by 2015/2016, and Brazil by 2017/18, which might be easily achievable given propoer incentives like mega-size regional pacts like ASEAN +3 FTA.

Let's all Asian embrace industrialization, and celebrate "Made in Asia"!
