Michelin to set up R&D Centre in India

French tyre manufacturer Michelin plans to set up an R&D centre in India. The facility will be set up in Gurgaon and will be its first such unit in a developing country. It is understood that the company has already started hiring Indian engineers to staff the R&D centre. However, the level of investment Michelin will be putting into the unit is not yet known. - See more at:

Man this is huge!!! is this made with indigenous technology or BMEL got technology from foreign country.Either way this looks monster.

It should be; but Manufacturers were resisting it so far. Now with costs reducing some-what and consumers seeing even added value to such appliances; Gov. should push through these changes.

Before that we need every new car model undergo crash test which meets the international standards. If you remember all the models that were tested last time all failed miserably.
