You should generally ignore the lowest variant since it exists only in name. No features.

The best small car imo currently is the Tata Tiago, which starts above 4lakhs.

. . . .
Integrate India, Pak and China. Cheap everything.

Wow!

Great idea. Unbelievable, but ... Asean ... do it through Asean.

Wait, what's Pakistan's contribution?

Indian economy will also get wiped out by China even if they trade > $100 Billion, in China's favour.

Idea is romantic, specially if you include empty Australia.

China- India-Pakistan can turn it into a superpower to rival the rest of the powers while taking a load off said nations, money or ppl no problem hehe ;)!

Joke - take it easy y'all.

New Suzuki Jimny, or Gypsy in S. Asia is going to be a smasher.

Going by the specs. either Suzuki's done a great job or tailored it to Indian Army req.'s.

It's the perfect transport for Iceland and it's Glaciers ... pssst, ... same-same re. Indian Army specs. and their decades of experience with Gypsy King.

A priori, a long wheel base,
ragtop, lightweight and inexpensive Made in India model just like the above Gypsy King and Maruti-Suzuki or Indian Army have another occult hit.

The Indian auto sector has delivered up 1/2 a dozen smash hits and $ Billionaires thereof like Royal Enfield bike buy out and revival by Billionaire Lal family. Hero Motors iconic Splendour by Munjal family. Escorts teactors and tillers. All ex Delhi and erstwhile West Pakistan. Their suppliers are $ Billionaires in their own right.

Product sales are in $ Billions.

Big league Tata and Mahindra had a skew of hit products. Bajaj family made their Billions in 2 & 3 wheelers, same with TVS. Many fell feom grace, some brands are even reviving.

Ultraviolette F77 Electric Motorcycle Unveiled
nhtfb0ao_ultraviolette-f77-electric-motorcycle_625x300_13_November_19.jpg

Bengaluru-based tech start-up Ultraviolette Automotive has unveiled the company's first product, the Ultraviolette F77 electric motorcycle. The F77 will be available in three variants - Lightning, Shadow and Laser. The F77 is powered by an air-cooled brushless DC (BLDC) motor which has an output of 25 kW (33.5 bhp) and is good for a claimed top speed of 147 kmph, with acceleration times of 0 to 60 kmph in 2.9 seconds, 0 to 100 kmph in 7.5 seconds. The Ultraviolette F77 will come with three riding modes - Eco, Sport and Insane, and comes with a massive torque rating of 450 Nm on the rear wheel. The Ultraviolette F77 will be priced from ₹ 3 lakh (on-road).

The F77 has three slim and modular lithium-ion battery packs which offer a claimed range of 130-140 km on a full charge. The battery packs can be charged fully in 5 hours from a standard charger, and a portable fast charger allows the rider to charge from 0-80 per cent in just 50 minutes, with full charge in 90 minutes. The standard charger works with a regular 5-ampere socket, while the fast charger requires a 15-ampere power socket. Additional options also include charging pods which can be installed at home to charge the batteries overnight. The battery system alone has 7 international patents, and the company claims the packs are built with rugged shock proof covering and IP67-rated connectors which were built from the ground up, in-house. Each battery pack weighs 8.5 kg.

The F77 electric motorcycle features a streel trellis frame with aluminium bulk head, and suspension is handled by an inverted cartridge type front fork, with a gas-charged preload adjustable rear shock. Braking is handled by a 320 mm front disc, gripped by a four-piston caliper, and a 230 mm rear disc gripped by a single-piston caliper. Dual-channel ABS is standard, and the F77 runs on 17-inch wheels.

The Ultraviolette F77 gets a long list of advanced features, including a full-colour TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity, and a dedicated app with over-the-air updates, remote diagnostics, bike locator and ride analysis features. The regenerative braking can also be controlled, and there is also a maximum speed limiter, as well as torque delivery controller which can all be manged through the dedicated app. Preventive maintenance and diagnostics can pre-empt any potential service issues with a system check and scan diagnostics. Ultraviolette will offer a dedicated charging network, to begin with Bengaluru and to be followed by pan-India charging network.

Ultraviolette Automotive received funding from India's leading two-wheeler manufacturer TVS Motor Company around a year ago. TVS has invested ₹ 11 crore over two rounds with a 25.76 per cent stake in Ultraviolette. Ultraviolette was founded in 2015 by Niraj Rajmohan and Narayan Subramaniam, both alumni of the BMS College of Engineering, Bengaluru.

I owned a Japanese assembled Sierra, it was fun little car with great off roading capabilities.

But not a lot of long chassis, hence they are a bit rare to find compared to short chassis, in good condition. A guy in my neighbourhood owns a nifty little 410.

These were rugged machines which mostly civilian departments used or civilians in rural areas mostly in Panjab & Sindh. We KPK/Balochistan people had/have access to non custom paid Land cruisers, Wranglers, Double cabs courtesy Afghanistan.

That said even the newer model is also quiet comfortable but expensive & thus failed in the civilian market (again mostly bought by Govt departments.

In that price range you can easily buy a used Toyota Vigo or Champ.

As for india, I wonder why indian military liked the old beater? Perhaps due to its economic mileage? Lol

While Pakistan Army loves its Land Cruiser 70s & Revos.

In reality, the Maruti Gypsy was just one of the vehicles that the Indian military loved, among the Jonga, MM540, Sumo etc. Reasons being small size, reliability, homemade, and simply what's not to like in the thing. It's also the longer wheel base model btw.

Now that Safari Storme is used for transport, Force Gurkha is supposed to take over Gypsy's true job.

I'm a fan of the shorter one. Pakistanis are also lucky to have the newer Jimny's. India may get a longer SUV based on the latest Jimny. It sucks. It's the price we pay for having local R&D, manufacturing, and a big market.

But Jongas are too old? I think they were discontinued decades back? MM540 is a thar?
Safari looks more like an indian staff car rather than a troop carrier like Suzuki.

As for Long chasis, they even introduced a pickup lol

Pakistanis are lucky and like indians buying old Gypsies, people here get access to the 70 series, Land rovers & older “Jeeps” like M38s/Willys & Mutts.
