What's new

Made in India Vehicles

I agree with what you say, and it is a real pity according to me.

About your choice of Pulsar, I'd just like to caution you about that series.... they are very attractively priced and have fancy 'doodahs' but are not built to last; esp the engines. One can pay more and buy Yamahas and Hondas (both made in India) for a better overall experience. Then there are two home-grown Indian brands Hero and TVS which make more reliable bikes and are nearly as good as the Japanese brands. Pulsar is more style than substance, in my opinion; though at a very attractive price band, in the short run.
well look at the bright side, Yamaha made their Plant back in April and the new YBR 125 is selling like hot cakes here,
so that may prompt Honda Pakistan to finally ditch the 1976 honda 125 that people still drive to this day and modernize their lineup,
I agree Yamaha has been the most famous Bike brand in a lot of countries, what The Indian version incorporates is some good tech that makes it even more fuel efficient, since we all are obsessed with mileage, and thats always in our minds when we're about to buy some automobile. so the Yamaha India and other brands made good use of that fact which in the end has benifitted the customers and the produces, and everyone's happy.

As for Bajaj Pulsar, most indian guys i came across had quite a positive view of Pulsar so what you said is a surprise.

and count me in...with no disrespect to @Capt.Popeye i disagree with him..pulsars are build to last and keeping indian roads in mind.....u can c my profile pic i am using one....for what u get in that price tag i will say its bang for buck and about reliability some people have bad experiences cuz they dont get bike serviced properly...my bike is almost over 14 months old and i have frnds who have like 4-5 year old model,,,,but it a depends on the way to take care of your bike

i would say pulsar is built keeping our roads in mind....once u ride it u will know why :)

True true, but that analogy stands with almost any bike,
you take care of it, it'll last.

No problems , amigio. I wrote about the Pulsar; based on what I'd heard from some youngsters who owned Pulsars and then disposed them off to buy Yamahas and one of them even bought a Hero. I've never used a Pulsar, the last bike I'd owned was the Yamaha RD350 and then Jawas/Yezdis before that! Did not feel like owning a Bullet in my time.
