And this bike is sports bike, so a person will always think about buying it that where he will be ridding it. In my city, the good straight roads, there are interceptors. So no matter if you are riding at 90 or 120.

It has more balance, comfort and good braking system than conventional drum brakes. Disc brakes are good and bad depending on rider's experience.

Mahindra Reva, part of the Mahindra Group, on Tuesday said it will launch its new generation electric vehicle, e20 in mid-March.
The company said e20 will use next generation Lithium Ion batteries and “will have a range of 100 kms on a full charge, which is suitable for most urban commuters today”. The price of the car is yet to be announced.

Commenting on the planned launch of the product on March 18, Mahindra & Mahindra President, (Automotive & Farm Equipment Sectors) Pawan Goenka said, “Electric vehicles today epitomise clean and green driving and Mahindra wants to take the lead in developing this segment and its surrounding eco system. We sincerely hope that such an initiative will find the desired support and incentives from all governmental agencies that will support us in this journey of providing clean mobility solutions.”

The e20 will enable users to carry out self fuelling through any 15 amp plug point at home or at their workplace.

This can be further augmented with the help of Sun2Car solar technology, the company added.

The electric car will be produced at Mahindra Reva’s recently inaugurated production facility at Bengaluru which has a manufacturing capacity of 30,000 cars per annum.

The e20 was showcased at the Auto Expo held here in January last year.

India-made EcoSport for European market

Geneva: Ford Motor Co will import its EcoSport compact crossover from India for the European market, where the vehicle will compete in a growing, but increasingly crowded segment, a top executive of the company said on Tuesday.

The EcoSport, showcased at the Geneva car show, will be built in Ford's factory in Chennai, Stephen Odell, chief of Ford-Europe, said during a media roundtable.

The vehicle will be launched in Europe in late 2013.

Isuzu Motors to set up India plant in AP

Japanese automaker Isuzu Motors today signed up with Andhra Pradesh Government and Sri City for setting up of a Greenfield manufacturing unit which is likely to see an outlay of Rs 1,500 crore.

The facility will come up on a 100-acre site in Sri City located about 55 km from Chennai in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh.

After signing up of memorandums with the Andhra Pradesh Government and Sri City, Shigeru Wakabayashi, Deputy Managing Director of Isuzu Motors India, said, "The company manufacturing unit will come up by the end of 2015 and serve both the domestic market and as an export hub."

The plant, with a capacity to manufacture about 1,00,000 LCVs and SUVs, will mainly serve the domestic market. The mix could be about 80,000 vehicles for the domestic market and about 40,000 vehicles for exports, he said.

Till such time the unit gets ready, the company plans to bring in completely built units (CBUs) from Thailand and market them in the India. It has established two outlets at Hyderabad and Coimbatore to help them understand what the market needs.

The automaker is known for the diesel engine technology and its utility vehicles globally. "We use the manufacturing facility in Thailand to support global demand. The Indian unit will serve as a support base initially and gradually become a full fledged unit," Wakabayashi said.

"The Indian automotive industry may be passing through a tough phase now but we believe it has tremendous potential. The market has grown to be fifth largest globally with annual sales of 3.6 million. This is projected to be a 15 million by 2025 to become third largest globally after the US and China," he said.

"Most manufacturing units pave way for ancillaries, and we hope Isuzu unit will also help develop ancillaries," he said.

In talks for local assembly of utility vehicles

Wakabayashi said, "The Company will bring CBUs and market them in India. But given the opportunities, we are exploring the possibility of local assembly to garner market share."

While the company is in talks with several players, it may strike a deal for assembly with Hindustan Motors for manufacture of some vehicles. The company official admitted they were in talks for assembly of utility vehicles.

The last pic shows an automatic Aria - nice. Actually, the Aria is a major leap for Tata in terms of quality. Shame they priced it so high - no one was going to splurge that kind of money on a Tata. And their After Sales Service remains an utter nightmare for many.

I own a duke 200 and after riding it for 3000km what i have realized is that its got lot more power than required for indian road even the highways for that matter.0-100 km/h time is 9 secs and this is very close to bmw 3 series performance.only two things i dont like are its tires made by mrf which looses traction easily in sandy roads and secondly its stiff suspension.Rest is awesome.
basically a 390 will be too much for indian roads.It will be very difficult to ride it to is full potential .None the less i will upgrade to duke 390 when its out.If any one who wants raw thrill out of bike should consider it.

I own a 200NS, and same here. The bike has lotta power, and its full potential cant really be unleashed on Indian roads. Even if I hit 100kmph, I HAVE to slowed down rapidly in the next 2 seconds because a jaywalker runs across the road, or a wild pothole appears, or a vehicle just veers onto my path without warning. MORONS!

Duke 390/Pulsar 390?! I hope India makes a law which makes it mandatory to go to riding schools to drive 35bhp+ bikes. ATGATT mandatory too for 20bhp+?

For the guy who said more people on Activa get injured than people on sporty bikes.... dude... if u fall from a 8bhp vehicle, all u get are scratches and bruises. Fall from a 20bhp bike at 100kmph, we gotta mop your brains off the road(thanks to you morons not wearing helmets :hitwall:)

Instead of discouraging powerful bikes, encourage road discipline in Indians.
