It's sad really that a lot of Americans lost their jobs because of the global competition, I wish there is a better way than merely a zero sum game for the workers. The dilemma for American corporation is that if they don't come to China, they will lose competition to Korea, Japan and European countries.

I was only a kid back in 1996 when I heard this term that China used regarding the threatening attitude of US, and it was "China will shut down all the factories in US by making an extremely cheap products and even the locks which will be used to shut down those factories will be made in China". Now that was a statement used by the Chinese long time ago, but you can feel that heat in US at this very moment. I literary feel sorry for these workers in US.
