That's VERY accurate. LUMS is based on Harvard values. You go to Harvard, you can be whoever you want to be and think critical and present your viewpoints to fellow students or to the globe, just no violence please. Critical thinking in our society isn't there. Sadly, we still have a slave mindset from the British raj! We seem to hero-love and follow personalities vs. agendas using critical thinking. Our political divide is a perfect example of it.

Gone are the days when aligarh-native-collaborators held a monopoly on intellectual capital. People from unprivileged backgrounds going to Germany on their own dime contributed more than LUMS did since its inception. Credit goes to overseas Pakistanis who conceived the idea of Pakistan and till this day sustain it.

None of your content made sense. Studying in Germany, a better economy and a better university education system with promising career is somehow equitable with a Pakistani university? And who told you "overseas Pakistanis conceived the idea of Pakistan"? I head dumber and dumber arguments every day. The overseas Pakistanis should be THANKFUL that they get to invest in a country where their plots double (whether the earn the money through fraud and collecting welfare or true means). Pakistan grows it by 100%. Take it elsewhere and earn 5-10% yearly and pay taxes. Overseas Pakistanis invest per THEIR NEED. If they stopped, we'll still function. I guarantee it. Don't cry and complain "my land has only appreciated 10% in 8 years and I've been paying 7% of that in Taxes! Someone doesn't get the value of Pakistan that THEY NEED from it

All the people cheering leftist militants know that leftist militants includes BLA, BRA, BRAS, SRA and all those terrorists which are killing our soldiers and civilians on a daily.
You don’t fight one extreme by going to the other extreme. Fighting khawarij with leftism and liberalism only makes them stronger.
Unfortunately our state hasn’t learned and doesn’t seem to learn that. We push more and more towards secularism while much of society is religious conservative. These moves divide society and strengthen khawarij. Know that majority of poor and working middle class in Pakistan is religious conservative. Majority of elite is secular liberal. Promoting secular agenda to combat khawarij is pushing the poor and lower class to be exploited by khawarij who show secularism as an attack on their conservative views.
The faster we accept that majority of Pakistan is a conservative Islamic country, the faster we can progress. Progression doesn’t happen by switching ideologies. Progression happens when you unite the country on a common ideology that especially appeals to lower and middle class. Progression happens when you stick to your core beliefs and don’t change them. Progression is not measured by the size of a women’s skirt like many secularists do.

The biggest point people miss when comparing Pakistan to other countries is Pakistan is an ideological state. It was created in the name of Islam. It wasn’t created secular or for any ethnicity. Removing Islam from Pakistan and making it secular removes any reason for the state of Pakistan to exist. The ideology of Pakistan was that Muslims of Hind needed an Islamic state. Otherwise india is secular too. If the needed was a secular state it would have remained with india. Islam was used to unite the many nations in Pakistan. If the needed was individual ethnicities to rule over their land then there would be many smaller states. But the point for Pakistans existence was the needed for an Islamic state in Pakistan. Not just a state with Muslim majority because if that was the case there is no reason why Pashtuns stayed in Pakistan instead of being part of Afghanistan or no reason why many other ethnicities are part of Pakistan because them removed from Pakistan would still mean their Muslim majority. The purpose of Pakistan was to be an Islamic state.
Promoting secularism and liberalism challenges the very ideology that Pakistan was founded on.
You invite separatism and extremists when you remove Islam from Pakistan.
Rightly so, being brutally honest, if our ideology was just secularism I rather Punjab be united. My unity with Sindhis, Baloch, Pashtuns, Kashmirs isn’t for secularism. My unity with them is for Islam. Remove Islam and I don’t intend on staying divided with my ethnicity for some other ethnicity. I share nothing in common with someone like a Baloch except for Islam and for the reason of Islam being united under Pakistan state with them. Pakistaniyat or Pakistani nationalism doesn’t exist because Pakistan without Islam doesn’t exist.
We’ve already seen ethnic violence in Pakistan. Pakistanis and Pakistani state shouldn’t open this pandora box again. Playing with such ideologies is playing with fire. Don’t expect to keep all these ethnicities divided from their kin and united under a state with no ideology.
