When Sri Lanka government force initiated the offense on those rebels/terrorists stronghold, those tamil tiger terrorists used the fleeing tamil normal citizens as shields which caused a great number of death to their own people as well.

Both sides have committed war atrocities for sure. However, for the long run, Sri Lanka finally can embrace its future without worrying about its internal fights.

I do hope Sri Lanka can have a bright future. BTW, I think Sri Lanka should also deal well with the tamil minority problems peacefully. I suppose after such a lengthy, bloody fights, the S.L. government knows that already.

At last, in my opinion, there is no way S.L. army could let those tamil tiger's high rank military leaders to escape alive. If captured, for sure the army would kill all of them. The army won't give them a 2nd chance.

I able to remember an incident during Vajpayee regime SL navy attacked Indian fisherman( that time civil war was at peak in SL) NEXT MOMENT he made a call to SL PM and warned abt that incident in addition he told if SL navy repeats this kind of activities means India won't spare SL . After this warning they haven't attacked till Vajpayee term ends. Hats off to Vajpayee ,we need such powerful leader soon.
