It all has to do ... perception is always bigger than relaity ... breaking into bedrooms ... threatening politician usman dar mother of rape and then lock her with police inside creates perception of rape ...
Sorry but If someone tells ur neighbour women that i rape u Nd then he captures your women what will be in your mind or mind of the person around u ?
An environment is created where it is being told if u dont stop then we can do anything even murder and rape and no one can stop us ... messagr is loud and clear there is no rumour but the facts on ground.
Rumours were spread that imran riaz khan is dead ... hiz father even told cpurt atleast confirm he is alive or not ...
So Mr. Blain open your eyes ... it is not that rumours r spreading its the terror being spread that if u dont back down we can kill and rape not only you but your family as well ... do u think that dragging women with hairs on the road was a reaction ? Getting into the bed rooms and braking doors like terrorists is random ? Arshad sharief murder was random ? Releasing videos of torturing of women inside police station is random ? This is a well thought plan to install fear but instead it is increasing the hatred ... ectreme hatered ...
Something else, everyone has not mentioned in all of this; how do the
Kashmiris in IIOJK feel about all this,
especially the way it’s being done. After seeing how this is playing out in Pakistan, why would they want to join a Pakistan which has no real democracy, only once a government completed its term. The most popular politician’s party is being crushed, for all to see. Not to mention the economy is going to hell in a hand basket.
Part of what IK represented was some new voices entering the political landscape. Families attended his jalsas. sure, it wasn’t the best way to come to power, with the “lotas”, but with a second or a third term, more PTI raised politicians could have risen through the ranks, allowing Pakistan to transition to real democracy as the other parties followed suit, shedding their dynasties and competing on ideas, not surnames.
Have they inadvertently crushed the hopes of liberating Kashmir as they basically end IK’s party?
Perception matters. The ends don’t justify the means.
There is still time to course correct. Declare elections in October, in a written and signed legal document, allowing IK to run for the Presidency. Let the career politicians form whatever small parties they want, and let an organic natural democracy form. Institute reforms bringing about rule of law and limit the authority of any institutions to barge into people’s homes the way we have been seeing for the past few months. Then force the politicians to take the tough decisions required to fix the economy.
36:30, how does any of the current events help their image? Thinking inside the box?
IK is about thinking outside the box, breaking the a two party, dynasty system, transitioning however flawed into a more democratic process.
You can’t fault the Kashmiris from looking at this mess and saying no thanks
