love the news..we are doing well in all modern complicated projects...than why the hell we are not making field guns

Less we talk about this is better. This is one black area of India's defence preparedness. The babus, politicians and army together made the mess. There was plan or requirement by the army to start in indigenous project. But now DRDO going to start one.

for Anti air yes. Failed trishul and barak range is 10 or 15 km if i m not wrong. This is advance anti air missile agaist planes and naval targets missiles etc.

But air to air missiles has ~ 400km range(Novator)

novator is air to air missile. Barak is fired from land base or ship base. what is need to shot down plane 1000 km away from place. novator has not a anti missile capacity. well maitry programme is now i think need less after barak, cause its delaying unnecessarily much more.
