Difference in range and difference in deployment. Akash is presently ranged at 30km while LRSAM is ranged at 70km.
The LRSAM will be deployed on IN warships.

Sir,aren't we developing Akash Mk-2 version currently which will have a range of over 60 kms??I think i have read somewhere that DRDO is also planning to convert the Astra Mk-1 AAM to a SAM version just like the Sea Sparrow,is it correct??

Assuming DRDO learn something with this so called joint venture and have complete blue print of seeker and engine for this missile so they can modify and use it for other platform .
Or the Israelly did the hard work and drdo just did time pass which they are very good @ 9 - 5 + benefits and Diwali bonus

Well that negotiation is going on for a while now and Its a. MR-SAM with 40 km range( land based).
