I was trying to read in details how SSG commandos dealt with the issue. Unfortunately, I am unable to find any decent article etc.
I was able to pull the following thread (Remembering the 1979 seige of Holy Kaaba | Page 2 but this thread doesn't talk about things in details.
Can someone point/paste the incident in details ? I am not interested what lead to the incident, what i am incident that how army (Saudia, French ?, Pak SSG) took control of it. Apparently, I read it somewhere that Pakistani Army first released some water inside the Mosque and then released current in it ? How this helped ? Since the snipers who were shooting at anyone coming towards the mosque were holding their positions at the top of minarte ..
