pakistan has to be careful not to shell civilians on the indian side, but they should give hell to the indian army.

Eye popping stat.

800 mortar and small arty shells landed in Kotli sector in past 2 days.

Warmongering at its best.

2 civilians killed and 6 injured on 11 and 14 August. 6 Army soldiers injured.

See you need to stop these infiltration bids seriously.

Soldiers just do their duty and die. And who suffers? Citizens light candles and shed a few tears and they go back home.

Who feels the pain? That widowed wife, that old mother and those innocent kids who did nothing, of these soldiers.

This is on both the sides.

This flare up is a constant result of multiple infiltration bids from your side and needlessly your general sitting in Air conditioned rooms and palatial government offices are causing the deaths of so many on your side as well as our side.

Do you think that the common soldier posted at either border wants this?

No.

They instead share sweets and sometimes even stories and jokes.

This war is useless.

Stop it. We don't want to escalate this and neither does your civilian government.

Last time as well, when Sharif was in power, there was constant progress made in peace talks.

All until there was a coup and Mushy man ruined all that.

This time as well, he's come to power but has no control over your military.

According to ISPR, yesterday in Kotli Sector,Round about 800 mortar and artillery shells were fired by Indian Military which injured 8 civilians...

Four Pak soldiers have also been Injured...May Almighty give them speedy recovery...

is bar ye aag na bujhe.........guess things will turn more agressive

For what in return?

You kill our soldiers, we kill yours.

How's that going to change anything except escalate this into a conflict?

And how will it benefit you or us? We who are suffering from the most corrupt regime in the history of our country and you, suffering from multiple centres of power, ****** attacks inside your country, sectarian and gang violence as well as a collapsed economy?

Do you really think a war rhetoric at this time is a good thing?

You must really hate Pakistan for saying this.

For past few months, IA was killing lot of infiltrators.

Did the PA intensified firing on border because of very successful anti infiltration ops from IA!!

No actually the situation turned bad to worst because of that fake encounter by IA in which they abducted four civilians from AJK and then killed them.

I don't think the ruling regime will let it happen.

While AK clearly mentioned that military has free hand to retaliate, I doubt Sonia will allow it.

Raising a conflict is not something this government is capable of without a clear leadership.

Things were different under Indira and Vajpayee so it happened well. They were strong leaders who knew how to get things done in their times.

Today, we don't have any leader like that heading the government and neither do we have Manekshaw, K Sundarji or VP Malik in charge.

There's an old saying Kautilya said about warfare:

'If a dog heads the pack of lions into a war, all the lions will fight like dogs. But if a lion heads a pack of dogs into a war, even the dogs will fight like lions".

Its a little difficult to accept ISPR's version of these skirmishes. It took them 10 years to admit that the Pakistani men killed in Kargil were indeed Pakistani Army and not civilian militants. God knows who are the real casualties/injuries on Pak side at this time.

Same can be said said for the Indian side. When the porter of IA was killed by PA fire but the soldier right next to him was just injured. :)

We can't do that, there is Right to Information Act to know things in India - apart from that, any question in parliament will have to be answerable. You can see it about Kargil war heros. Each and everybody who killed in action in available with IA sites whereas Pakistan took 10 years at least to honor their martyrs in front of its people.

There is still continous shelling in Kotli and Battal Sector from Indian Forces....

Yeah we know how much law abiding India is. :)

The fact is I won't be surprised if the civilian porter who died yesterday was not a porter but a soldier. August hasn't proven to be a good month for Indian military in general and nobody wants to demoralize nation and the troops further.

And you want us accept Arnab Goswaami version...Regarding casualties on Pak side, keep dreaming if it helps you sleep at night...

P.S...you have been kept in Dark by Military sources many times so why would you follow them...

It will happen in your part of the world, not in Indian land. I gave you example of Kargil war, which is right in front of you.

Sure.. Feel free to disagree...Never said otherwise :)

Unlike Pakistan, our soldiers are not hero worshiped(which is a sad state of affairs I agree). Hence no on pays much attention towards fudging casualty figures to make Army look good. Pakistan on the other hand can not dream of its army being denied the status of super humans and hence acceptance of casualties is that much more tough and most of the times delayed by months and years. That's why people still deny and doubt the word of their Prime Minister as long as it maintains the super status of PA....
