The two countries claiming to being modern armies. Okay When on the line of control you see these flimsy cheap wooden tree stump framed with metal sheeting structure as bunkers everywhere.Lacking in any sort installed modern equipment in them or even having basic protection. Or the other type a poorly constructed rock made structures with wooden tree pole On top of the bunker used as a flag pole. Both countries practices here wouldn’t look out of the place in late 18th century ways. Even on our western borders I’ve seen very rudimentary built bunkers. While other proper modern armies are built with sand bags or large concrete slabs strong enough against shell attacks.

Regardless of who it is, it is a shame to see human life taken in the blink of an eye. Maybe the Indian soldiers and their compatriots will think the same about Kashmiri lives and leave back to India.

Soldiers can't "leave back" no matter which country. They have to stand and obey their orders or be shot/court martialed for deserting their post. I agree with you that this is pointless but certain members here mocking the death of Indian soldiers is out of taste in a defense forum.

Honestly, as a kashmiri, it's 1 less person to kill one of my own kind.

As a human though - it is another one of my own. Unfortunately that perspective has to be 2 way for it to be sustainable.
