Load shedding?

No load-shedding in Islamabad (at least where my family lives). There was a temporary power outage due to heavy rainfall yesterday.

I heard no load shedding as of now thanks to the hard work of PTI govt.

Two days ago it was very hot so 8-10 hour load shedding that day. Usually 4-5 hour loadshedding.

These days, transmission loses not the generation of power, is the main issue. In Peshawar, Load shedding has been reduced considerably but due to extremely hot weather, links and fuses burns out sometimes causing interruption.

The recent severe weather caused power outages here in New York as well. You have to accept that even in the most advanced countries, we are at the mercy of the weather, especially power thunderstorms.

The government can keep a few hundred mobile truck based generators ready to go, and power essential services like hospitals and street lights, in the even the power goes out.

Yes but its quite rare. even though it still happens, the recent heat waver in europe almost brought the continent to a standstill

Guys we should make a distinction between loadshedding and power outage. Loadshedding is when power goes out as per a pre-determined, pre-announced schedule because the government does not have enough power to meet the demands of the citizens. Power outage is when there is a severe weather event and power equipment trips due to overload or is purposefully shut down due to risk of wires falling and causing electrocution (you can blame corruption and mismanagement for this).



On that note there was a 3 hour power outage here where I live in Canada as well due to a severe thunderstorm so we all are effected by severe weather events.


I hope loadshedding is ended in Pakistan ASAP

No big power outages in my part Rawalpindi Recently, even with the weather. Sometimes the power is shut down but that’s done on purpose during storms to prevent accidents. Much better since PTI came.

recently on 22nd of July, we had the worst Power outage because it "BARELY DRIZZLED" in Karachi.
It continued till next day, 23rd of July. And had more power outages on 24th as well.
FFS, it's been 72 years man. 72 years!! and the infrastructure gives up with a little shower.
I'm not angry at the current govt but the previous once, bitches didn't even give a crap about upgrading the infrastructure making it capable to withstand Rainy season.

Showers cause outages here in Canada too.

Well if PTI is responsible for the economic & governance mess created by previous govts for over 30 years, then why can't it be credited with reducing load shedding in the country for which in fact PTI has done something very important which the mindless patwaris deliberately ignore.

Pti has created issues for common man b increasing dollar etc they are still living like kings why govt officials get free cars etc fuel houses in a debt country we need to be doing autestry the IK did it in start to showbazi stunt but je forget to give MPA MNA fuel cars shoukdb ed closedthere are many ways still trillions can be saved and put little burden on citizens
