Guys, What is the current situation with regards to load shedding in pakistan?

. . . .
recently on 22nd of July, we had the worst Power outage because it "BARELY DRIZZLED" in Karachi.
It continued till next day, 23rd of July. And had more power outages on 24th as well.
FFS, it's been 72 years man. 72 years!! and the infrastructure gives up with a little shower.
I'm not angry at the current govt but the previous once, bitches didn't even give a crap about upgrading the infrastructure making it capable to withstand Rainy season.

Showers also cause power outages here in Punjab. But mostly in case of intense Thunderstorm. And the Outage only remains till the worst is passed. Like they intentionally put the power off for no major damage and then turn it back on when thunderstorm turns into drizzle. And Power Infra is sh** here too. Mesh of Wires hanging from Poles Specially in the inner cities and older areas. Outer city Housing Societies and inner city Colonies are in much better shape though

When weather become much humid and hot due to high consumption in Islamabad area few days ago loadshedding started but now weather is good and loadshedding has stopped.I think still much work needed in power sector as due to increase in industry demand will rise

Load shedding depends on weather jitni ziada garmi utni ziada load shedding

Perhaps, There should be a competent authority looking after the power sector's short comings which are due to their laziness.
Also you can go have a look at K-Electric's Twitter account and scroll down to 22nd July tweets. Most of Karachi was affected.

an example, they went on a foreign trip to beg for money and when the aid came through (i.e: $1 million), let's say $800K went into their pockets and the rest they gave it to the people through their corrupted authorities which further looted from the remaining 200K and POOF, the money's gone.

This should be treated under criminal law and these guys should be tried on this front too

The recent severe weather caused power outages here in New York as well. You have to accept that even in the most advanced countries, we are at the mercy of the weather, especially power thunderstorms.

The government can keep a few hundred mobile truck based generators ready to go, and power essential services like hospitals and street lights, in the even the power goes out.
