Iran's gamble on Iraq and Syria paid off.

It wasn't really a gamble, after Saddam's defeat Iranian increase in influence over that region was inevitable.

Most Famous Assasinated are Lt. Gen. Sayyad Shirazi and General Qarani ...
also several generals were Assasinated in 1979 Uprising By Mass Murdered "S. Khalkhaali" !!! (Just because they Served in Shah Regime)
we lost 2 generals in Soviet Captured Tritorry and 2 other in south ... during WW2 and many other things ...
I can wait, but 9.194, thats a big number! I was actually more interested in a list covering from Iran-Iraq war to date.

it is from Zoffar war to now ...
Mostly of those who Killed in Syria/Iraq are From IRGC and Subordinated units and Afghan/Pakistani/Iraqi Mercenaries
I know, but I think some among them are top commanders from Iran-Iraq war. I do not like that we are losing our tacticians

A correction:
100 years old Twice (some, Triple) Retired Commanders of a Modernised WW1 !!!
have it in your mind, we have not any Generals during War !!!
instead of a BG, Commander of 2nd Bde of 92nd Armoured Div. on 31 Shahrivar, was a M/Sgt !!!
do you know what does it means ???
And Commander of Ground Forces was a Colonel !!!
Reaching a general Rank in Army is not Easy , To Understand, All Brigade (~ 60 Brigades in Army) Commanders are Colonel, Not BG !!!
but in IRGC, it is much easier ...
we have many good young (50-60 yo, of course) tacticians, it is their Turn !!!
