If any migrant from the subcontinent is living in Australia & is not happy with Australia then most probably the reason would be because the person did not get a satisfactory job.
Say for example a person who is qualified as an Engineer & also has an MBA and was working in a middle management level in a corporate or a multinational in his home country, will not automatically get a job in his profession & in his earlier held position. Unless he is very lucky, he may have to start low…& sometimes even rock bottom. If he is good he may eventually grow. So basically a person migrating to Australia should come with an open mind & ready to do any job.
I would advice a new migrant the following:
a) Take up the first job you get…however low you may feel it maybe.
b) Don’t lose hope keep trying & eventually you will get a job to your satisfaction.
c) think positive….if anyone works hard & is good at their job, then mind you there will be no racial bias which will obstruct your promotion (people who complain of this are usually the ones who are incapable)
d) Don’t shy away from physical work & don’t be ashamed to do it. Because even the chairman of your company will do a manual job if has to. (Here doing any physical work is not considered below your dignity)
The list can go on, but in short if you are hardworking & patient you will definitely attain your goal here. All the above I’ve said through my personal experience.
And mind you this is one of the best countries in the world to live in.

You might like the medium size cities in Australia like Perth or Adelaide.

And there isnt really a gang problem its just you hear about it more often because its a well developed country prison population is 1 of the lowest in the developed world.

There is mega bux to be made in western australia with the mining projects which you mostly do 2 weeks on and 1 week off get free meals and free accommodation etc.

Try out a few casinos if you come over here

Respect the ways of our life etc etc

Just so you know it can be very very very difficult to come over.

I completely agree with you on WA part - i moved here from Sydney two years ago and i must say it was probably one of the best decisions in my life. $$$$$

I dont think theyd be allowed to apply for permanent residence i'm preety sure to live in Australia you need to be very well qualified and work for a certain amount of years and even then its a ***** to be able live here.

Yes they must have at-least 4 years experience in their relevant profession after finishing Uni.
However if they obtained their higher education in an Australian university, it is slightly easier but according to the new legislation you still need work experience of at least 2 years.
