Libya to purchase 20,000 G3 assault rifles from Turkey

Libya has submitted a request to the Turkish government to buy 20,000 rifles in an attempt to strengthen to national army.

The Libyan government is seeking to buy 20,000 G3 assault rifles including 7.62 mm and 5.56 mm caliber, which has been confirmed on the Turkish side.

The guns are manufactured in Turkey and will be delivered to Libya to aide the building on the army. Libya intends to purchase new military armoured vehicles as well as helicopters.
