1- US is a reserve currency. It is beneficial for US to take debt from outside and have other countries horde the dollar because then it’s less likely if majority of the world is holding USD that they would seek to choose an alternative reserve currency

2- the debt US takes from outside is then spread out in the economy. Think about like this I borrowed an apple plant from u as debt. I plant it and when it produces apple I sell them and pay ur debt. In this scenario I spent nothing out of my own . But I ended up with aN apple plant that has equity and an income generating plant. Same way when these debts are spread into the economy they produce more productivity hence more tax revenue for the US which is the used to pay off interest/debt

3- People want to borrow from us because of Our yield/risk ratio. US doesn’t go to countries to ask they come to US because rather than having to keep money at the central bank doing nothing they might as well get earn interest on it too which reinforces the act of holding the dollar as reserve more

140 usd is for people thats above 16 or 18 years old. Kids of poor families dont receive 140 usd per month, they only got food, free school fee, free healthcare etc.

So, poor families only get 140 usd for husband 140 usd for wife and some subsidies if 280 usd is still not enough for All must pay bills.

It mean, they cant save any pennies and only try to make both end meet wt subsidies from the Government.
