What's new

Let’s talk transfer of technology

.
Oh yeah then Mangalyaan must have also been made by Americans .:coffee:

Wait for 30more days and you'll know what India is capable of.
You got me curious... Whats happening in 30 days???

The general rule is what the rest of the world can do, the Americans do better.

Except cars, food and women.
And screwing up the world! No one even comes close! Their old hobby: Regime change!

Why depend on transfer of tech? Just take the stuff apart and reverse engineer it like the Chinese do. Or we can always outsource it to them!! :azn:

no need to out source, we already done it.
:eek::eek::eek:
what is that suppose to mean?
it means stop eating happy meals
Come on dude!! How tough is it to open everything part by part and study what has gone into it. Your failure is in doing that !! You can never dub the original quality, you have so far been only able to forge the materials with the resources available in your country. India on the other hand by not Reverse Engineering has complied to the belief the manufacturer has in us and are rewarding with complete Blue Print.

You have a very weak technological base as compared to India in handling high end technologies. Our foundation is laid on cutting edge technologies while yours is in forging duplicate parts with abysmal quality.

India cutting edge? Your military have certainly not shown that, while ours have. But I don't really care about this point.

The point is, you underestimate how hard it is to actually reverse engineer. The only reason we can do it is because of decades of experience and a huge industrial base.

We aren't the only people that reverse engineer, see if you can think of any other nation that successfully does this.

Never knew stealing was an art, might be in your country. Reverse Engineering does require Brains and I am not denying it, but pretending that to be an art to master is utter nonsense. We are interested to invent and Innovate not reinvent the wheel with a stolen design.

bravo, I really admire your spirits of speaking like that. eye-opening for sure.

We have twin engine heavy fighters in J-11, 15, and 16s and their variants, you got Tejas, we got WZ-10 and WZ-19, while you got, a lightattack helicopter not even in service, we got drones that match global hawk, predictor, and other drones and you got, none of that, the examples are not endless, but pretty close.

So I can either conclude India likes inferior equipment, or you just can't do it.

BTW, reverse engineering isn't an art, but if you are not an expert in your field, you can't even understand it even if you take it apart, and even if you could understand it, you can't make it, where are you going to find the skilled work force, funding, factories and technical knowhow to go with experience.

As to innovation, you can't innovate, at least not yet, how are you going to revolutionize the aviation industry when you got trouble building a fighter like Tejas, how are you going to revolutionize the fire arm industry when your next gen weapon isn't even a OICW, how are you going to revolutionize the drone industry, when your drone options are severely limited.

You got the typical Indian mentality, oh we will skip manufacturing, 20 years later, Modi comes up and talks manufacturing.

We do these hated things not because it is easy but because it is necessary. If you don't think it is, show some results.
