China's military new Main Battle Tank will be a leap in Technology. German media, "Rhine Outlook Journal" reports: China will stop production of 99 tanks, because the 05 new tanks coming soon. Type 05 tanks and three generations of semi-99A2 tanks, compared with a qualitative leap. The 05 tanks can no longer simply be viewed as a tank, but a super-marine attack platform, in addition to tanks, artillery, air defense missiles are also equipped with precision and non-lethal laser weapons. I was excited to see the title only to find out it was a old rendering.

China's 4th generation tank program is underway but none of these photos look like leaked photos of the 4th generation tank. They look like badly done renderings of a squashed Abrams tank. If the design shown in the video accurately depicts China's new tank then I have doubts in it being 4th generation. It has a top hatch on the turret, rear ammo rack and bore extractor on the barrel which to me suggests a maned turret. I'm not going to criticize its lack of sensors and active defense mechanisms since the renderings are of low quality.

If we are speculating then its a different story. Here are some renderings.

I know these are also speculations but to me they look more realistic

Ugh..I tough it gonna real photos or some sort, only CG. I has wait long enough for this but surely need to wait longer. So this tank will be 'Chinese-armata' ? I mean it will new 'revolutionary'/new design like Russian? or based on existed tech, because I read some rumor that this next-gen Chinese tank based on type-99.

You have waited long enough? Any story behind it?
It is gonna be the next generation MBT,newly design,the chief designer of the Type 99A said in one of the TV documentary ,that one of the plan is it will be a 2 crew members tank,but we have to wait for more information.

Yes, I very, very curious with Chinese tank design, me myself was fans of battle tank especially from Russia and China. For several year only bumped with bunch of information with CG's, a rumor usually. So I'm will very glad with a good dose of new information about Chinese tank progress. So it will be new design, that will be interesting. Hope not for long we all can see nice photo of this 'mysterious tank'. Thanx YuChen
