ISLAMABAD- Lawyers of Islamabad and Rawalpindi bar associations on Tuesday threatened the government to accept their demands or they would launch a movement.

The lawyers from the twin-cities held a protest march from F-8 to Parliament house and demanded the resignation of Interior minister, Chaudhry Nisar, shifting of F-8 court to safer place and quick aid to the families of injured lawyers. Hundreds of lawyers were present in the protest march and strict security measures were taken. The lawyers crossed the security blockages of the D-Chowk and ended protest in front of the parliament house.
While addressing outside the parliament house, President Islamabad High Court Bar Mohsin Kiyani said that the lawyers strongly condemned the statement of Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and the for the protection of the offenders, the government has blamed security guard for the killing of additional session judge. The federal government is responsible for Katchehry attack and Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar should immediately resign and the government should also suspend IG Islamabad, SSP Islamabad and SHO Margalla Police station, Mohsin Kiyani added.
While chanting slogans against the government, president Islamabad high court bar said this is a peaceful protest but if the government did not take any action against the perpetrators they would launch a protest movement and convention of lawyers brethrens from across the country would be held outside parliament house and a protest movement against the government would also be started. President Islamabad district court, Nasir Kiyani said that the government is responsible for the deaths of martyred lawyers and additional session judges in Islamabad district Court, which occurred due to the apathy, and incompetence of the government. He demanded the government to shift F-8 Katchehry to a safer place and construct Judicial complex while protecting the lives of both lawyers and complainants. He said that the lawyers would turn towards the street if the government did not pay heed to their demands.
