Lawyer tortured maid to 'ward off evil spirits'


MULTAN: A lawyer has gone into hiding after torturing his 10-year-old maid to ward off evil spirits that he believed had taken over his wife.
Nishter Hospital’s Dr Tasleem Kausar confirmed that the girl named Sapna was severely tortured.
Torture marks, using hot iron and rods could be seen on various parts of her body. The girl’s eyes were also puffy due to excessive beating and blood clots.
Sapna told Express News that Advocate Mujahid used to take her and his wife to a witch-doctor, who subjected her to severe torture.
She said the lawyer had kept her hostage for the past week, and that she escaped to a neighbour’s house, where she was helped to lodge a complaint with the police.
The police have since registered a case against Advocate Mujahid, who is on the run since the maid’s escape, and are conducting raids to arrest him.

Geo was showing the small girl last night with blacken eyes and extremley wounded feet due to torture by this blackcoat.

She has no family, no waris.

We need to raise voice for her and press the authorities for taking action against this barbaric lawyer.

We should all also send letters to the CJ. Time to come out of politics and give justice to common people of Pakistan otherwise let us take up arms if the law can not protect us

these people should be served vigilante justice Arabian style..aka allah hu akbar on Friday outside mosque..we dont need to stick in a medieval age English justice system which was designed to drag on forever for the sake of protecting British criminals!

The police and legal system should be improved so there is no need for vigilanteism.

There should be a separate legal stream for crimes against minors (and women) to fast-track these cases.
