There are some lines which even a propagandist will not cross. Not because of integrity but because of the realization that shameless repetition of lies and propaganda in the face of obvious facts will only make one look like a clown. Indian propaganda, it seems to me, is mostly built around fooling themselves. Of course no f-16 was shot down, and anyone who believes otherwise is simply a victim of propaganda. No evidence has ever been presented of an f16 being shot down, despite the long amount of time that has passed.

On a side note: I've said it before, and I'll say it again, it doesn't matter what fascist warhawk Christine Fair thinks about Pakistan, whether its good or bad. She should be ignored and shunned by everyone, whether by Pakistan or even India.

For Pakistan, she simply hates Pakistanis. It is to the point that it could very well be considered racist.

I don't know when she made this claim, but if she did, then she's far beyond stupid.

Pakistan had (and still has) access to Turkey, which allowed Pakistan to gain access to spare parts, making her claims ridiculous.

There is no evidence to suggest that PAF ever cannibalized its f-16 fleet.

If she said this about PAF's Mirage fleet, she'd be sort of right, as PAF bought a bunch of 3rd party Mirages and cannibalized them for its ROSE project.

Pakistan handled the incident perfectly from start to finish. First it waited till the Indians deny the claim that any pilot was shot down, then it released the now world famous beating of Abinandan. Before the Indians could rally public sentiments over the mistreatment of POW, however, they diffused tension by showing how Abinandan was given proper medical care and fantastic tea. Everything unfolded while the Bhakts were grinding their teeth down to stubs in impotent rage.

I think Pakistan’s superb handling of the incident has to do with Pakistan’s superb understanding of Indian psyche. There is much for China to learn in this regard.
