China has gained Indian territory and then declared a demilitarized zone. In other words, China took 10 steps forwards, then both India and China took 1 step back to allow this DMZ.

India's victory is as fantastic as the tea.

Indian Army retreated 5 kilometers back to the Shyok River while PLA vacated at most 1.2 kilometers from PP14. Even the de-escalation was to India's disadvantage.
