no it not just a glass, it is a semiconductor product include the galss . recently BOE spent 14 Billions Dollar in building two 10.5G LCD Fab in Hefei and Wuhan ,you should know the price of the two Fab's output

the glass in LCD called glass substrate is provided by ameican Corning ,Japanses Asashi and Nippon sheet glass ,etc。China also have Dongxu photoelectric to produce LCD glass
Glass substrate is just a part of a TFT-LCD

I checked on Ebay and the LCD panel prices are pretty high. There's something wrong with Alibaba's quotation for LCD panel prices. Probably a bug on the Alibaba website.
