PN should also go for such corvette development and make it similar to desing with F-22P which is 3100 tons full load but this corvette can be 2100 tons full load with VLS launchers on board.

Very Stealthy design.

Any Information on the Sensors ?

Corvette 'Provorny' to be laid down in St. Petersburg

08:32 25/07/2013

ST. PETERSBURG, July 25 (Itar-Tass) - The traditional name for the warships of Russian and Soviet Navies “Provorny” (project 20385) will be given to a corvette, which will be laid down in St. Petersburg on Thursday. The top brass of the Russian Defence Ministry, the Command of the Russian Navy, the St. Petersburg authorities will participate in a ceremony to lay a warship at the shipbuilding plant Northern Wharf. The event is timed to the Day of Russian Navy, which is traditionally celebrated on the last Sunday of July.

This corvette will be the fifth warship with this name. Its predecessor - a big submarine chaser built in Nikolayev was decommissioned from the Soviet Navy in 1990, the directorate of the joint stock society told Itar-Tass.

The project 20385 was developed by the St. Petersburg-based Central Marine Design Bureau Almaz on the basis of three Steregushchiy-type warships that were already in the service of the Baltic Fleet with due account of modern requirements and experience of steering. A new warship differs from her predecessors with a larger water displacement of up 2,200 tonnes. Her length is 105 metres, the width is 13 metres and the water draught is about eight metres.

The combat power of the modernized warship is increased substantially by arming her with a new universal missile system Kalibr-NK (Instead of anti-ship system Uran).

The Project 20385 head warship Gremyashchiy, which was laid on the covered slipway of the dockyard on February 1, 2012, is to be put in service of the fleet in 2015, a year later The Provorny will be brought into service. The helicopters KA-27PL will be based on the warships of this project.

The Russian government decided that the Northern Wharf is the only supplier of warships for the near maritime zone, as well as the Admiral of the Soviet Navy Gorshkov-type frigates of the far maritime zone, the tests of which the sailors and shipbuilders began.

The Putilov Wharf that is a predecessor of the Northern Wharf was founded on November 14, 1912, it was the Zhdanov plant in the Soviet times. For more than 100 years of its history the shipyard has built about 250 surface warships and over 280 commercial vessels of different classes and designation.
