In the words of Vin Diesel, It doesn't matter if u win by an inch or mile. Winning is winning lol. No points for second place in politics. I think the elections were as fair as they could ever have been considering our country's track record coupled with the fact that its a third world country. The people chose their leader for 122 and its high time PTI learnt to accept defeat. Only then will they be able to move forward and do something better. Frankly i used to think that PTI are the victims but after witnessing the acts of violence and hooliganism by PTI supporters yesterday, my perspective has changed. They are just like the rest. just that they cover up their lies and ill doings with rhetoric and blaming others.

It was good to see that PML N got a run for their money with Aleem Khan only 4200 votes behind. However considering the fact that it was a by-elec. and all other parties (PAT, JI and PMLQ) were supporting PTI instead of contesting, I'd say the results weren't much different from the 2013 elections. unfortunately one of the biggest shortcomings of democracy is that the losers have to face the consequences. Which is why it has been equated with 'Majority rule' on several occasions.

Anyhow, hope that its an eye opener for the government and lets pray that ultimately, the ppl of NA122 benefit from the entire scenario.

The common man is tired of all this political bickering, and no political party is aware of just how exhausted the citizens are.

Come next elections, PTI will probably win, and PML-N will probably come second place. PPP is gonna stay third, and MQM will most likely become a dead party, winning (at most) a few seats.

PTI wasn't rejected by anyone, rather PTI brought the PMLN on their knees and PMLN had to use all government resources to win NA122, a very close election. It was a saving face strategy by PMLN.

Don't forget about APML or United Muslim League - If formed and allowed to run in the next election, It will take a big chunk of votes from all political parties.

I am wondering how they win this seat in 2013 and why they lost it now after using government machinery before election.

ن لیگ کی اڑھائی سال حکومت کے باوجود 18ہزار سے کم ہو کر 3ہزارووٹوں سے جیتنا ان کی ہار کے مترادف ہے عوام ان کی کارکردگی سے مطمئن نہیں ہے.

ن لیگ پچاس ہزار ووٹوں سے جیتنے کا دعویٰ کرتی تھی اس کی 3 ہزار ووٹوں سے جیت اس کے لیے خطرہ ہے کہ لاہور ان کے ہاتھ سے نکل چکا ہے

ن لیگ ایم این اے کی سیٹ پر جیت کر نواز شریف کی پالیسیوں پر عوام کو خوش کر رہی ہے تو دوسری طرف کلثوم نواز کے بھانجے محسن لطیف کا ایم پی اے کی سیٹ پر ہارنا شہباز شریف اور اس کی پالیسیوں پر عدم اطمینان کا اظہار ہے

Let's be fair here. PML-N's election management was far better than PTI. Although PTI's Structure has improved vastly under Ch Sarwar, it still has a long way to go before it can match PML-N Management. If voting had been extended to at least 8pm, PTI would have won. Most of the votes for PTI were casted between 3-5 pm, us Lahoris being lazy like to wake up late on Weekends. Second, voter slips were already delivered the night before to PML-N voters while on the election day PTI's camps were an absolute mess in terms of finding voter slips. If PTI expects to win the election, it has to improve its tanzeem.

Although i do agree with you, PTI will win the next elections if PML-N continues with its current governance. With the way they are governing, they will not be able to solve load-shedding problems by 2018 ,in fact it will get worse as today Dar admitted circular debt is 323 billion rupees. Also remember, PPP was still winning by elections as long as it was in power in the Center and i remember PML=Q won 4 provincial seats in a by election in 2007 from Lahore even though there was a huge wave of popularity for NS. PTI did well, now they need to sit down and work to address its weaknesses. Come out of the Dharna politics and focus on improving their Party Structure and delivering massive in KPK.

I am not a fan of Imran Khan nor I like him and I have my own reasons for this but this phrase is absolutely wrong that "Lahore rejects Imran Khan" I believe Lahore has given him a call because man like Ayaz Sadiq has won with only 2400 votes margin which has absolutely no significance in fact in my opinion PML-N's future is in serious danger.

Sir, I noticed one thing that lot of people points at IK that what if he have given time to KPK and changed the province, the answer is very simple, KPK is changed if u ask from the people living in KPK not only in Peshawar, but from different cities they did appreciate PTI performance and will specifically tell u about improvement in hospital, school, police system, . IK cannot be involved in KPK province governance but to provide guidance to Pervaiz Khattak or else people will again say he is dictator and running the affairs of province. Alas the common sense of a common Pakistani is limited to mindset defined by decades of political slavery..
