Lahore Mob Terrorism: Couple Killed over Blasphemy alligation

I propose there should be a special force for two purposes:
1) To guard the Hindus, Christians, Shias and secular muslims
2) To battle terrorists and mass murderers who use faith as a ground to commit atrocities, namely the Taliban.

This force should have access to every tool the terrorists have. Motorbikes ad smg's for hit and run attacks like the ones which are common in Quetta and Karachi. You might say I am promoting extra judicial methods but the law, the courts even the police have failed us. It is our duty as citizens to rise up and take justice, save Pakistan from turning into a militant heaven.

This force should be made of people who have lost loved ones to the terrorists, are secularists believing in the theories of Ibn Rushd and most particularly minorities themselves. When minorities will have a hand in protecting their own fellow Christians and Hindus they will rip the terrorists apart. Personally I believe those who have suffered will be strong and united against terrorism.

50 suspects will be tried in the Anti Terrorism Court (ATC)

i hope that those who are guilty of this despicable act will suffer for their misdeeds and injustices

creates much more problems than it solves.....and its a bad example

by the way many "mainstream Sunnis" have suffered at the hands of the same anti-state elements......its a war against a certain twisted ideology.

the police should just be empowered and transformed into a truly effective non-politicized force - and the hatred-inciters hiding behind religion need to know they cant get away for inciting hatred, hooligan behaviours etc

hopefully there will be courage shown, rather than cowardice

though i agree generally with your plan, may i say that "secular" is a comfort zone, without practical ideology and aims... what pakistan needs now is re-emergence of hardcore socialism... it is easier now... and pakistani public seems to like one poster child for revolution, mir murtaza bhutto.

so, people like you and others on pdf should organize into direct-action socialist groups... i am not saying you should rocket buildings like the greek socialists... but at least organize with a known ideology which will also bring the society of your liking... i am doing that in india, on a transnational basis.

You should also engage with @FaujHistorian about your plans. He will be of great help to take it forward in pakistan.

Bhai I do not doubt your sincerity.

Socialism in Pakistan has been tried and it became a monster and it then created other monsters.

I imagine the terrorists would support such a move: bribe the leaders of the force and they could do whatever they wanted. Cheaper than the current approach of bribing lots of individuals. And with a little extra money they could buy weapons off the demoralized rank-and-file, too -

This force should be made of people who have lost loved ones to the terrorists, are secularists believing in the theories of Ibn Rushd and most particularly minorities themselves.
...because while I'm sure such people would eagerly be accepted as grunts do you really think Pakistan will ever give initiative command of such a force to Hindus, Christians, foreigners, Ahmadis, etc?

Always cynical. Why would someone who has lost someone to terrorism be bribed. Taliban don't bribe people, they don't need to. Those morons point a gun to someones face and say do this or do that.

Why not? Pakistanis are much more secular minded than they seem. We have a sikh named Harcharan Singh as a major in the army, danish is a Hindu cadet, also by now probably a captain by now. Pakistan is gradually changing. I have noticed this change. Where once some people never sent their children co education facilities there are now thousands of such families.

Pakistan will change for the better, InshaAllah. Secularism, freedom of speech, independence shall be our guiding words.

Not really sure. It's Pakistanis and authors like Anatoly Lieven who insist upon the bribability (is that even a word) of Pakistanis.

Interesting. My books generally describe the Islamization of the P.A., not a word about the reverse. That's the problem with books: they only record the past, not the now. Would Sikhs be accepted for anti-terror command or just for service on the Indian border?

There have been missionary schools in Pakistan for centuries. Or do you mean boy-and-girl coeducation?

Only if Pakistanis are willing to fight for the Pakistan you want.

R.I.P..... May the b@sstards rot in this life and in after life as well
Blaspheme law needs to be scrapped, Responsibility of protecting God, His book and His Prophets should be given back to God.

Indeed..! Reminded me of the famous reply,
"I am the owner of the camels. The House too has a Master who looks after it."

Am sure the lot of such Mullahs would have even denounced Abdul Mutallib as kharijul Islam -- wajibul qatal for not protecting HOUSE OF GOD, you know, the HOUSE OF GOD!!

May God have mercy on the souls of the deceased. Am eager to hear Mullah and mob severely punished.

sincerely, hardcore socialism never had a turn in national government... for a nation with the socialist iqbal as national poet, pakistan as a society failed itself... but how did socialism in pakistan become a monster??

the early years saw faiz jailed by foolish governments who were more interested in pampering the mullahs.

zulfiqar bhutto had the best chance of all when muammar gaddafi came to pakistan and gave a speech in a stadium... but zulfiqar just named that stadium after gaddafi and no more.

pakistan failed again when they didn't bring afghanistan's socialist revolution into pakistan but instead sided with the enemy of socialism.

another chance was lost when the masses didn't support the socialists were fighting the tableeghis/deobandis... maybe the socialists did not try to find backers in the government and military.

another chance was in the form of mir murtaza bhutto... pakistan lost the chance yet again.

Socialims aka hard core socialims may be popular in poor poor regions of India. I don't doubt it.

But socialims in Punjab and Sindh and KP?

"Fogedd-a-boud-it" as Tony Suprano would say.

you know, today's pakistani punjab is where three great socialists of south asia were born... iqbal ( sialkot ), faiz ( sialkot ), bhagat singh ( lahore )... wrong of that region and pakistani youth not to forward the works of those three heroes...

In 60+ years; is that the level that Sikhs and Hindus have been allowed to reach and achieve in the paksitani armed forces? Umm.... as children of a lesser god, perhaps?

These guys were among minority of educated elite who never understood a basic fact.

Punjab and Sindh rural areas do not want socialism.
