The neighbouring country has been building additional military camps and refused to disengage from the remaining friction points – Depsang Plains and Hot Springs

The Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) is continuing construction activity in the “occupied” territory in Depsang Plains and has been building additional military camps at the friction point, sources in the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) have said.
“The latest ground reports from Depsang Plains suggest the PLA has intensified construction works in the occupied zone and has been building concrete shelters and additional military camps for its soldiers,” said an ITBP official.

The PLA, he said, has so far refused to disengage from the remaining friction points within India claimed lines – Depsang Plains and Hot Springs.

ITBP is the first line of defence along the 3,488km China frontier, which passes along Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. The army remains behind it.

The Chinese army is said to be entrenched 18km inside India-claimed lines on the strategically crucial Depsang Plains. It has cut off the Indian Army’s access to five traditional patrolling points — PPs 10, 11, 11A, 12 and 13 — since the border standoff began in May last year.

The border standoffs in Hot Springs and Depsang Plains is continuing even though there has been “partial” disengagements from the Galwan Valley, Pangong Lake and Gogra, by creating a demilitarised “buffer zone” with the Chinese stepping back a few kilometres while still remaining within India-claimed lines.

Military veterans have questioned the government’s “concessions” in agreeing to create a buffer zone, saying such buffer zones within India claimed lines meant territory loss for the Indian Army.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has also accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of ceding territory to China.

Sources in the defence ministry said India has also undertaken several infrastructure development projects within its claimed territory along the China frontier and has been building nearly 70 roads of operational significance. China, too, has also been enhancing its border infrastructure by building roads, bridges, a railway network and airports, sources in the ministry said.

Their BAT Teams are true BAT Teams with spiked up BATS. lol

PLA military is teaching the Indian military how to survive in the harsh mountain. The Indian military don't teach their soldiers the survival skills. Indian soldiers have been secretly studying and copying the PLA military. India should thank China for saving their soldiers.

While Indian army officers say they cannot match the hightech Chinese infrastructure, they at times admitted to copying their way of living. “For instance, we saw Chinese would dig trenches and then put tents in them,” said an army officer. “We realised it helps warm up the canopy and since then we have been doing that way.”

Lmao I freaking love the PLA there is no compromise in them.. They have hilarious leaders where compromise is not in their dictionaries

china does compromise with reasonable countries. examples include border negotiations with Russia, Tajikistan even vietnam land borders. in fact all chinese land borders were solved via negotiations except for india and indian puppet of Butan . and technically RoC aka taiwan which claims all of china and more.

india is not reasonable so no compromise can be reached with them.

@FOOLS_NIGHTMARE

I thought Chinese had moved back from depsang plains??
No. Not from Depsang plains. Depsang plains is 900 sq km out of total 1000 sq km which China captured last year. Some Indian military officers did point out though that Depsang plains is the old issue prior to 2020 China land grab.

Depsang plains has significant importance as this borders Siachen Glacier. If China vacates Depsang plains then all the Chinese efforts of 2020 will go down the drain as China couldn't hold what it got last year.

I believe China claims Aksai Chin, Shaksgam Valley, and South Tibet (Arunachal Pradesh).
China (Qing China) never agreed with the British made borders, I believe the McMohan Line.

Please don't make it sound Indian. It's Mc Mahon line. Thanks.

This part of Ladakh is China not India. They have been claiming it and forcing the status of dispute since India became independent of Britain. They just took Britain's lines because it gives India more land.

China did not send delegates to that meeting even though Britain invited China. China refused to discuss this with a third party illegal colonizer of what was previously Mughal empire collection of kingdoms. The land disputed is between China with continuous lineage from Qing dynasty China to Republic of China (now Taiwan) to People's Republic of China.

At every point in this part of Ladakh's history, this land belonged to Tibet and since Yuan Dynasty of China (When USA was not even settled by Europeans) Tibet in its entire whole has been a part of dynastic China and then in constant continuation of administration of the country of China, to PRC.

In the Chinese civil war period and then cultural revolution, there were many weak moments in China. 20th century was horrible and so was 19th century. During this period, Tibet grew further from central administration and China was partly invaded and colonized. This part of Tibet was not inhabited and Britain decided to draw the line to give it to India. This caused one low level war between PRC and India.

Anyway this land is not belonging to India. They have simply continued claiming it and we have been too weak to end this problem and totally unwilling to fight a war over it again. Seems India is also unwilling to fight a war over useless uninhabited land but the disagreements continue.

They would be willing to compromise if there is an overarching goal like permanent peace with India. But if India continues to jump on the anti-China bandwagon and refuses to sign a permanent border demarcation treaty, there literally is no reason to relent or compromise.

India's new neighbor, PLA NO.77678 troops. In the future, they will be responsible for play with the Indian.

The predecessor of this unit was the PLA 10th Corps. In April 1949, the British warship purple quartz broke into the battle area between the Yangtze River PLA and the KMT army. The 10th Corps directly ordered an attack on the British warship and wounded the Amethyst. The army is known for its resolute response to provocations.
