More and more countries want access and make Pakistan an economic hub. Good news for Pakistan.
Kyrgyzstan is very interested in getting access to Pakistan's Karachi and Gwadar ports within the frames of implementation of infrastructure projects, said Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov on March 1 when he met in Islamabad with his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif.
The two PMs met on the sidelines of the 13th Economic Cooperation Organisation Summit in Islamabad. They discuss transport, communications, and energy projects, Tazabek reported citing the Government press service.
"For landlocked Kyrgyzstan, development of transport links is crucial. The solution of transport issues, especially, construction of railroad, we will give a powerful momentum to our trade-economic ties, boosting export potentials of our countries. Kyrgyzstan is in active talks with partners on implementation of the China—Kyrgyzstan—Uzbekistan railroad building," said Jeenbekov.
Sharif, for his part, expressed his readiness to discussing questions of transport and infrastructure projects' implementation. Pakistan finds cooperation with Kyrgyzstan attractive and prospective, taking into account the country's geographical location, said Sharif.
