According to sources Saudi Arabia never asked for Ground troops. Pakistan has been asked for intelligence support and security of both Makkah and Madinah and other sensitive places inside Saudi Arabia. And tomorrow Defense Minister of Egypt will visit tomorrow

Question ... Defending Makkah and Madinah from ... !?
It's a symbolic gesture, and this wouldn't be the first time. When Iraq invaded Kuwait, Pakistani forces were deployed in case Iraq tried to take the holy cities.

Fine

Pakistan can't say no to KSA, but also doesn't want to get involved and cause any unneeded tension with Iran. It's trying to strike a balance, as of now. If Pakistan won't get involved, this will happen, but if it does, expect Pakistani forces in Yemen very soonish, and relations between Iran and Pakistan to cool.

Anyway, we'll see by the end of today what will happen.

i never knew sheikhs were that stupid, that they wanted PA to protect holy cities from "attack".
They don't, they want Pakistan involved in the ground invasion, but they know that they can't afford to push Pakistan when it refuses something. They'll accept it, but they won't like it.

Unknown Forces...... because if the Houthis can get there...... then plane-loads of Saudi Royals will be taking off in a steady procession!
