The Saudi Pavilion at Hanover Industrial Fair 2013 reflects the promising future of the Kingdom’s economy by showcasing the most prominent economic achievements accomplished by the Kingdom’s public and private sectors, as well as the volume of foreign investment in the industrial sector.
The pavilion highlights the Kingdom’s efforts in implementing strategies and programs that aim to develop the industrial sector without harming the environment.
It also showed the achievements of the Saudi economy, such as ranking 5th internationally in terms of levels of financial freedom and 3rd in the field of taxation.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is one of the fastest growing economies, with a 6.8 percent rate of growth in 2012. The Kingdom’s economy came in 18th in the competitiveness index issued by the World Economic Forum 2013. The forum also ranked the Kingdom 31st in terms of development and use of information and communication technology on a global scale.

Saudis ‘excelling in scientific careers’

Eastern Province Gov. Prince Saud bin Naif has emphasized Saudi Aramco’s role in the transfer of modern technology, boosting the Kingdom’s economy and creating more jobs for young Saudi men and women.
Speaking to reporters after visiting Aramco, he said: “I am very much delighted to see the tremendous scientific, technological and industrial progress achieved by the company.”
Prince Saud also commended the high caliber and expertise of Saudi workers at Aramco, which has become a leading international energy and petrochemical company.
Accompanied by Khalid Al-Falih, president and CEO of Saudi Aramco and senior executives, the governor visited the company’s various facilities. “I am happy to see Saudi nationals managing one of the world’s most important energy sources,” he wrote in the visitor’s register.
