Why KPK Province has more "death rate" than Punjab, Sindh, GB, Kashmir & Balochistan due to Cornavirus in Pakistan?
  • The number of Covid-19 cases in Khyber Paktunkhawa is less, but the number of deaths in KPK province is very high than any other Provinces of Pakistan.
  • Is it due to weaker people living in Pakhtunkhawa, the immune system is weak due to living in mountains, less sun.
  • The Health facilities and Hospital systems are weaker, or whether Healthcare collapsed, is it due to that?
  • Less awareness of the people living in Pakthunkhawa, not willing to go to hospitals and clinics.
  • Or the Provincial government of KPK, CM Mahmood Khan is incompetent, and donot know what to do ?
  • No idea of what SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) are in place.
  • A lot of people came from Gulf, overseas, Taftan and Afghanistan, and there was no stict lockdown in KPK?
  • Lack of following SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) in Khyber Pakthunkhwa?
  • Whether the KPK government has been incompetent in facing the Cornavirus pandemic?

Failure of KP Government, lack of following SOPs and People not following government directions.

K-P province to ascertain high virus death rate causes

PESHAWAR: The provincial health department has decided to conduct a research on the factors behind the high Covid-19 mortality rate in the provincial capital.

A source at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Health Department informed that a panel of clinical experts has been formed to ascertain the factors behind the high coronavirus death rate in Peshawar.

The source added that senior physician Dr Amjad Mehbood would head the panel which will study different factors including the ages of deceased, other ailments and other related facts. Further, it would also study that at what stages patients were brought to the hospitals and what kind of treatment they were provided.

The health department has already directed all the major hospitals in the provincial capital to provide charts comprising data of the fatalities caused by the Covid-19, the source informed.

Results derived from such a research conducted earlier on an administrative basis had suggested that most of the fatalities were recorded among sexagenarians.

The probe on the administrative level highlighted that the deceased had other ailments besides contracting the pandemic virus.

Explaining the Covid-19 situation in K-P as compared to other provinces, the source said that mortality rate in the province is higher than the rest of the country. As many as 3,129 confirmed coronavirus patients have been reported so far in the province, out of which 180 people have died. Further, the mortality rate in Peshawar city is also 9.3 per cent, the highest when compared to rest of the province. Amongst 1, 197 infected patients in the provincial capital, 111 succumbed to the pandemic virus. The Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) has so far reported 97 Covid-19 deaths.

The research panel would also prepare guidelines for the hospitals regarding the dead from the coronavirus. The report is expected to be forwarded to the government next week.

Meanwhile, the K-P Health Department issued guidelines for the burial of Covid-19 victims. As per the guidelines, prior to departure disinfectants should be prepared and all necessary equipment including PPE should be assembled. One pair of disposable gloves (non-sterile, ambidextrous), one pair of heavy-duty gloves, disposable gown, and face protection: goggles and surgical mask, footwear: shoes with puncture-resistant soles and disposable overshoes should be provided to those conducting the burial.

The burial management team (including family members involved in the bathing) should put on all PPE including shoe covers, gown, face mask and safety goggles and gloves.

And still these Haramis are testing less. India is now conducting 1 lakh tests per day and we BC are still stuck at 12, 13k, 14k. Situation in Pakistan is more serious as we are getting more percentage positives than India. We can safely assume that PTI has failed in Coronavirus. The death rate in KPK is linked to number of tests done which is least among all provinces

KP in recent days, reduced the testing capacity, how criminal is that. KPK Govt. also started some Pool Testing approach. Fact is Pakistan's testing capacity is too less, the virus has come alive, and spreading like fast in Pakistan and Federal and Provincial Governments has a very laid back approach now.

Ayub Hospital actually stopped Testing in KPK.

Pakistan in 1 year wont be able to complete testing with 20k tests per day.

I saw the news today and it was said that Lahore could have 6 lakh Corona positives after they gathered the data from samples

Yes that summary report is an estimation, a model prediction close to reality. Imagine what will happen to rest of Pakistan, Karachi, Islamabad, Peshawar and Quetta. Testing is too less and cases are increasing fast.

The KPK govt is actually pathetic and incompetent. They have no idea what to do. CM mehmood khan is a dumb idiot like buzdar and waits for IK calls to do basic things. Never imagined imran khan would put utter dumb morons like buzdar and mehmood khan as CMs of important provinces.

It's because the healthcare in KPK is crappy.

When you leave Peshawar, you stop seeing any hospitals even in villages and small towns.

Not that the hospitals in Peshawar are any better.

Immune system has nothing to do with death rates but food, nutrition status and health care has.
