KP government all set to computerize the major hospitals: Tarakai

The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is committed to computerize all the system of major hospitals in order to minimize the burden over populated hospitals and regulate the affairs of health management. This was said by Shahram Khan Taraki on Wednesday while addressing a ceremony at Lady Reading Hospital on the occasion of “World Immunization Week”.
“We have all the resources and are providing each and every thing, the staff recruitment, allocation of huge funds for different sections in health department, but we need result in the shape of relief to publics,” told Taraki to the audiences. Health minster went on to say that only LRH has 900 class four staff, out of them 280 are sanitary workers but still hygiene is the major issue of this big hospital.
There is no need of PC 1 for cleaning the hospital in the presence of this huge staff, he said. The ceremony was organized by Health department in connection with World Immunization Week which was commenced on April 24 up to 30th. The ceremony was also addressed by Director General Health Syed Abdul Waheed Shah , Dr. Janbaz Afridi, Director EPI and Medical Superintendent Adnan Sajjad.
“People elected us to bring change in the system and not for promoting politics in institutions as we need duty on time, doctors and all other related staff should come and leave on time,” Health minster categorically said. Favoritism and nepotism will not work anymore, Tarakai said and adding health and medical is the sacred profession and firstly doctors should respect their honorable at self. “Disturbing whole system for vested interest is no more bearable and health is a sensitive issue and we will not spare lethargic attitude of anyone in this regard, “Taraki instructed. Later on, Azaz Coordinator CRM presented some key statistics regarding immunization and preventable diseases in Pakistan. He said all types of preventable vaccine are available in Pakistan but only 80 % children are being vaccinated and 15 % deprived from these immunization process.
