NAB KP arrests timber ‘smuggler’
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Friday arrested Muhammad Faridoon of Mansehra allegedly involved in smuggling of timber.
A reference had been filed against the accused and five others in 2007 for their involvement in illegal cutting of Chir and Kail trees in Doga forests, which is the government reserved green forest range in Mansehra. He was wilfully avoiding his lawful arrest and remained absconder. The other accused in the case have already paid their amount through Voluntary Return and Plea Bargain process. He will be produced tomorrow before the Accountability Court Peshawar for obtaining his physical remand.
