Kingdom of Dreams: Unique carnival of Indian art, culture, cuisine and entertainment

New Delhi, 31th July 2010: Kingdom of Dreams, India’s first live entertainment and leisure destination located in Gurgaon, today opened its gates with the launch of Culture Gully. Replete with the flourish of two welcoming elephants, this distinctive endeavor brings to life the magic and timeless mystique of India in a unique blend which will leave the spectators spell bound. The fusion of art, culture, heritage, crafts, impressive architecture, cuisine and performing arts are beautifully synchronized with spectacular technological wizardry.

Culture Gully, one of the core attractions of Kingdom of Dreams, is an elaborate boulevard of culture, arts & crafts and cuisine under India’s first ever skydRome. Spread over 100,000 square feet, this magical avenue offers an exciting experience of a busy Indian street showcasing India as a delightful destination to savour the best of local cuisines, sample many of India’s renowned handicrafts and enjoy live performances by traditional artists.:cheers:

Kingdom of Dreams is a unique initiative by Great India Nautanki Company, a joint venture between Wizcraft International Entertainment, India’s foremost Entertainment and Communication Company and Apra Group of Companies. This ambitious concept will offer theme-based entertainment experiences of exceptional standards and promote Indian culture to Indians and visitors from across the globe.

Speaking on the launch of Culture Gully at Kingdom of Dreams, Viraf Sarkari, Director, Wizcraft International Entertainmentsaid, “Kingdom of Dreams is a distinctive, live entertainment destination that is sure to capture the heart of its spectators and make every Indian very proud. Expressing his excitement on the opening of Culture Gully, Anumod Sharma, Chairman, Apra Group of Companies said, “Kingdom of Dreams is a novel entertainment paradise. It is our dream that has taken shape in its magnificent architectural form. This uniquely modern yet intrinsically Indian destination is expected to contribute to domestic tourism and carve its place as a must visit attraction in the hearts and minds of Indian and international visitors.”

Six restaurants, six show kitchens, three street bars and seven retail stores, representing 14 states of India will engage and entertain visitors at Culture Gully. Interesting architectural and cultural facets of Sikkim, West Bengal, Assam, Kerala, Delhi, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Chennai, Goa, Mumbai, Lucknow, Kashmir and Rajasthan, are presented at Culture Gully.

Visitors have a surfeit of options from enjoying a leisurely cup of South Indian filter coffee at the unusual Madras Café, to a massage on the beaches of Goa; from trendy shopping on Mumbai’s fashion street to enlightening spiritualism at the Mystic Centre. Assam Tea House welcomes all visitors with India’s famed variety of teas, while enjoying performances and wares of local artisans, street performers and folk dancers from across the country.

The sheer artistry extends to the splendor of the architectural details at Culture Gully. It places a visitor in the midst of a huge set of an epic serial or period movie with its imposing façade designed by Omung Kumar. His innovative multilayered and complex architectural style and ingenious designs, have given Kingdom of Dreams and Culture Gully a unique dimension.

Built over 9 acres, Kingdom of Dreams has three other distinct entertainment zones that will open at periodic intervals in a phased manner - Nautanki Mahal, Showshaa Theatre and IIFA Buzz café - each offering a unique proposition.

Ø Nautanki Mahal, India’s first dynamic state of the art 4D theatre designed and conceptualised to offer breath-taking & magical experiences will open in September;

Ø Showshaa Theatre will present a kaleidoscope of fabulous colorful drama marquee spotlighting ancient Indian Epics and Mythology, mock wedding shows and the great Indian talent circus. This will open by October;

Ø IIFA Buzz Café – a glamorous Indian cinema lounge will buzz with starry energy and the glitzy dazzle of India’s filmdom.

Entertainment will never be the same before as Kingdom of Dreams opens its gates to a magical and mystical arena.
