In the most recent twist to the ensuing turf war between Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung, Kejriwal wrote a scathing letter to LG, asking him to file an FIR against the AAP government's solar policy.
Laced with sarcasm, the letter was tweeted by the Aam Aadmi Party's Twitter account.
"The Aam Aadmi Party has announced its solar policy. We request you to ask the ACB to file an FIR," said the letter.
The letter then goes on to say how the policy has been lauded by the UN climate Change, praised by Greenpeace and has even been internationally appreciated. Having said that, the letter says, "Please ask Prime Minister Narendra Modi to arrange a CBI raid in Delhi Energy Minister Satyendra Jain's office for committing the crime of coming up with such a good policy."
The sass and sarcasm continue as the letter makes allegations against the BJP and Jung for shielding criminal BJP members allegedly involved in the murder of MM Khan, a legal officer in New Delhi Municipal Corporation.
Directly challenging center now, the letter goes on - "So Modi ji would be completely satisfied that no matter how much hooliganism BJP members are up to in Delhi, no harm will come to them. You will save them. And [you will] keep framing the Aam Aadmi Part in false cases."
Kejriwal ends with the same exaggerated politeness which undercurrents the entire letter. "Here's hoping you come to investigate the solar policy with your CBI and ACB," he signs off.
This is the second stinging letter Kejriwal has sent to LG. On June 13, Kejriwal had
mocked Jung yet again. "Here's a suggestion from me as your younger brother - Despite all the illegal, anti-people and unconstitutional things you might do on (Prime Minister Narendra) Modi ji’s orders, he will never make you the vice president," the older letter said.
On June 6, the Delhi CM had
announced the solar policy in question to give a push to clean energy in the state. The ambitious policy aimed to make Delhi a "solar city" by producing 1000 MW of power by 2020 and 2000 MW by 2025.
