In some ways, it's more important because of it's massive oil and gas reserves. Ukraine only seems important because it's a huge buffer state.

On topic: I still remember when China was behind some of those yellow names, like Georgia - it wasn't that long ago. Very soon, we'll leave Azerbaijan in the dust, which will finally expose the "Eastern Partnership" for the mockery it really is.
