They have a tradition of being slavers, and they are a bunch proud of their traditions, regardless of what they are - so are maids part-time sex partners? I encourage you to do some research on thread in this forum, one in particular, it used to be called Madineh Chale Aho but the title of the thread was changed to "Excesses of Gulf..." something or the other
The thing is people say Londi concept is obsolete now, but under whose authority?
The last woman the Prophet bore a child with is predominantly accepted as an Egyptian girl given to him. I mean it is also believed that she was a willing partner, but there was no nikah.
And this happened earlier too.
So the question that is raised in my mind is, this is practically Sunnah right? It was practiced during his lifetime and till the end too. So even he did not abolish it. So how are people saying Islam ended this practice? Yes Muslims ended it, but it still remains 'optional', right? After the prophet's passing, there's no new Islam coming, right? Granted its not enforced either.
Granted Islamic state is not there, concept of capturing women as the loot is not there... But all these things are secular concepts. So at the end of the day, humanity decided to do something nice, in spite of Islam, not because of it. Granted Islam did many nice things for slaves, but not this particular thing, this was done out of Islam. Even if Muslims did it.
