Washington: The US on Saturday said the current situation in Kashmir was India's internal issue and asked protestors to conduct agitations in a peaceful manner.

"We regret the loss of life in this incident. It is an internal Indian matter. We respect the efforts of the Government of India to investigate and resolve the current situation in Kashmir," said State Department spokesman Mark Toner, adding, US always encouraged India and Pakistan to resolve all its differences through dialogue.

American has always maintained neutrality between India and Pakistan over Kahsmir. No matter which side is begging / crying there is no attention provided!

Firstly, america doesn't want to interfere. Secondly, it can't interfere even if it wanted to.

Nothing is happening unless India gives its nod and America cannot afford to estrange its relations with India especially after the financial crisis.
