Kashmir is an internal matter of India, the US said on Monday and asked all stakeholders to make efforts towards finding a peaceful resolution of tensions in the Valley following the killing of Hizbul commander Burhan Wani last week.
“We have seen reports of the clashes between protestors and Indian forces in Kashmir, and are concerned by the violence. We encourage all sides to make efforts towards finding a peaceful resolution,” a State Department Spokesman said.

The spokesman said the US has not spoken with Indians on this issue as it is an internal matter of India.
“We have not. This is an internal matter for the Government of India,” the spokesman said.

Official website of State department:

QUESTION: The New York Times reported about two hours ago that Indian authorities in Kashmir have killed about 30 people. Is there any condemnation from the State Department with regard to this? These people have been killed in the last three days and the numbers continue to rise.

MR KIRBY: Yeah. We also have seen reports of the clashes between protesters and Indian forces in Kashmir. Obviously, we’re concerned about the violence. We encourage all sides to make efforts towards finding a peaceful resolution. This is really a matter for the Government of India to speak to specifically, and I’d refer you to them for more comment.

There has been no such statement. Same script writer is publishing twisted version of statement in every news outlet. Spreading bunch of lies will not help the situation.

Sad; Americans themselves were formed out of a war for freedom and thirst to liberate themselves of British yolk.

American combat tactics were considered by the British as savagery and their insurgency included attacks on loyalists and blowing up British assets (which today would be considered 'terrorist' tactics). They also expulsed 500,000 'loyalists' from the US.

It began with several small unsuccessful revolts, then phased into region-wide unrest and then finally formed into a revolution.

Although it seemed hopeless in the beginning, they pulled through and won themselves independance for their country.

Remember Indians; History always repeats itself.

Its a fake news by Indian media. US didnt make any such statement as Indian media as usual twisted this news to their liking. Although US state department did conveniently refused to comment on the situation.

@smuhs1

US also didn't say that it was an internal issue of India as claimed by Indian media. I already saw the press release they just refused to comment in a way. I doubt there is any statement of condemnation from US which doesnt come with their vested interests.

If Kashmir is your land then why the hell you people are not raising issue over 35% of Kashmir with Pakistan and China. No Sir Kashmir is a unfinished partition agenda Inshallah one day Kashmiri bros get independence from India.

I love that word inshallah. It means god willing. I love it not for the language it is written in(I don't understand it), rather for what it stands.

Now let's take that meaning and apply it to what does Allah really "will" upon Pakistan and Kashmiris.

Is he happy with what Pakistan is up to, has he blessed it with rewards of prosperity and peace?
Has he shown any of the same intent on the Kashmiris?

I would say after nearly 70 years an honest audit and a study of inshallah shows him favouring India heavily with prosperity, kashmir and overall peace.

Maybe it is time to give up the proxy wars and make peace? Then get on with your lives and bring prosperity for your Pakistani children and grandchildren before being more chinese than chinese, more palestinian than palestinians, more Kashmiri than Kashmiris. Time to be more Pakistani and look out for no 1. Insallah that will dawn upon you someday. What do you think?
