This is latest coming in:-

Chairman Businessmen Group (BMG) & Former President Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) Siraj Kassam Teli, urges to hand over Karachi to Army for five years.

He is a smart chap. He may know this is not permanent solution but for time being, he may thinks this is the best solution.

I also believe, Army can do wonders in Karachi. PPP Thugs don't have guts to challenge or play games with Army in Karachi. Imran played smartly here by inviting Army organization NDMA and FWO.

Immi seriously needs to consider this apart from working on making Karachi a federal city in longer term.

Literally every single Karachi wala is saying this. We didn't take freedom from the Brits just to be enslaved by Sindhi waderas.


Also it is a matter of national security as well. Pakistan's two main ports are in Karachi. Tomorrow if situation worsens and Karachi is completely immobile then it may prevent movement of essential goods upcountry.

Problem is Either nobody is listening to people or nobody can do anything for the people. PPP has spent years putting their people in position where even murder is legal. They used the 18th Amendment to make sure everything they will do is legal. Judges, police, Sindh election commission, etc are all under ppp control. By placing those waderas in those position, they have made sure they can do whatever they want.

Getting rid of 18th Amendment is not easy. First you need 2/3 majority in NA, and then it needs senate approval (controlled by PPP). Governor rule can be challenged in SHC (all of ppp judges). Take the ruling to SC, and the ruling will depend on who pays off the judge.

Karachi is stuck in this limbo. Only way would be to start chasing PPP goons and Waderas in Karachi, and hanging them from pole.

I think due to some mysterious reasons PPP will support changes in the 18th amendment.

Karachi can be under fed rule but for a short period. Lasting solution is 3-tier govt system.

City.
PPP and PMLN destroyed the Musharraf City Govt system not because they hated Musharraf but they abhor devolution of power, and in the case of racist Sindh PPP government, development of Karachi also.

Karachi is just a microcosm of how PPP wrecks everything they get control of. PPP wrecked Pakistan under Bhutto, Benazir and Zardari. They still control Sindh, and as long as Karachi is part of Sindh, Karachi will be a disaster zone. The solution is to create an Urdu-speaking province combining Karachi and Hyderabad and separate it from interior Sindh. This way PPP Jiyalas can have fun living in eternally poverty stricken interior Sindh while Karachi gets a chance to break free and progress under the leadership of educated people.
