A few days after the banned Talibani outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban warned the Pakistani media groups to refrain from praising the Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, the Karachi national stadium seeks to display the master blaster's image in their office gallery.

The spokesperson of Tehreek-e-Taliban, Shahidullah Shahid, had slammed the Pakistani media and advised the Pakistani cricket fans to support their embattled skipper Misbah-ul-Haq, instead of showering praises on the former Indian cricketer.

Shahid made these remarks to the Pakistani media in context of the media coverage of the militant slain leader Hakimulaah Mehsud, Karachi national stadium official says he's looking for a suitable photo of the former Indian cricketer

He recalled his last visit to India in 2007 and said, "How can one ignore Sachin? We did special shows on the day the master blaster retired from international cricket. Not only this, we had headlines for multiple stories on the day Tendulkar slammed his double-century in ODIs and also on his 100th ton in the sport."

Sachin Tendulkar plays a shot during the fourth day's play of the third and final test cricket match between India and Pakistan in Karachi on February 1, 2006.

Ehsaan Arain(60), head curator at Karachi national stadium, understands as to why the Indians talk about the Little Master so much, he is a legend. He recalled his conversation with Tendulkar in 2006 and said: "The first thing Tendulkar said to me after looking at the pitch was, Achcha pitch banaya hai(it's a good wicket). It's different from the first time I played here in 1989."

When asked about the difference Tendulkar was referring to, Ehsaan Arain said, "We used to prepare flat pitches during those days. Imran Khan used to insist on that as we had a good bowling attack."

Just like Ehsaan Arain, people in Pakistan love to talk about cricket and are not afraid to showcase their love for Sachin Tendulkar. His simplicity and ability to stay out of controversy during his 24-year long cricketing career has attracted plaudits from all over the country.

"People say that a visit to India is incomplete without seeing the Taj Mahal. But, if I ever go to India, I would rather meet Sachin Tendulkar than visit the historical monument," Ehsaan Arain said.

On the recent advisory by Tehreek-e-Taliban, the sports reporter for Samma TV - Shoaib Jatt - said, "We here take it as a joke, the average Pakistani on the social media have reacted similarly."

do you guys have some secret channel in India that gives you these kind of bizarre Talibani news, or a govt department that makes these news for your media. I Find it strange why Indians are so obsessed with Talibani man, is it their masculinity, their rough exterior, big beard or is it the sweaty smell that pulls Indian (specially men) towards them
